It shouldn't have happened at all
Another stupid comedy - 20th Century Fox kept putting poor Carole Landis in similar roles with similar stereotypical leading men - here, the forgettable Allyn Joslyn as a reporter - too clever for words, brash, smug, and certain he is God's gift to women. Landis falls in love with him for no apparent reason, just as she fell in love with the same stereotype played by Cesar Romero in Dance Hall - and Joslyn wasn't half the actor nor half as charming nor had half the screen presence. The supporting cast is adequate at best - except for the dog, who was great. Its such a pity they kept featuring her in movies of less and lesser quality, with inane scripts and "B" movie quality support. Here, she looks great, acts well and gets less screen time than the others - I would like to think that pleased her.
